Based down on Yeoman Street in the heart of Leicester City Centre, The Shed’s doors have been open since 1994. The Shed is a live music venue and nightclub, showcasing some of the best local and national music from the underground music scene playing largely unsigned, upcoming groups and artistes. The venue commonly plays 3-5 bands a night but can cater up to 6 a night meaning an audience can see a wide range of live music in the space of hours. Additionally the popular Saturday matinees caters for the under 18’s, playing music from local colleges and schools.

Like all great live music venues The Shed caters for all alternative music tastes – covering a wide area of music – punk, ska, rock, metal, indie and acoustic. Additionally The Shed also holds day festivals and charity events, as well as holding the yearly preliminary rounds and auditions of the Glastonbudget Festival and holds the Oxjam music festival.

The venue has a complete new in-house state of the art PA sound system and lighting rig as well as in house sound technicians – ensuring both the band and the audience have a great time!
